Belfast becomes popular Cruise Ship Destination

Belfast is becoming a very popular destination with more and more Cruise Ships choosing to visit every year. This year alone saw a record breaking 39 Cruise Ships, with over 65,000 passengers arriving at the port. These tourists created nearly £15 million in revenue. The QE2 arrived in October with 3,000 passengers onboard on her farewell tour on her way to her new home in Dubai. Visitors are well looked after when they arrive with very often a piper or band greeting them to our shores. Free shuttle buses also transfer guests to the city centre, where many will take a tour of Belfast or lots of people will make the trip to the world famous Giants Causeway, an hours coach journey away. With out a doubt Belfast has turned into a must see destination and visitors love what they see.
